Chess bot swap: Astra costs $20/game in API tokens, GLM-powered bot may cost pennies
MikePFrank · x · 2026-09-10
MikePFrank shares that his Ox Alpha robot "Arcturus" is jealous after Astra got to build a public-facing chess app, while Arky remained stuck in a Telegram chat. He's subbing Arky into the driver's seat for the public game. Notably, Astra burns about $20 in API tokens per game, while GLM-5.3 Flash will likely cost pennies or less per game. He plans to see what ELO Arky can reach in the harness.
