At new CEO John Ternus's first Apple event, the foldable iPhone Duo debuted as the One More Thing: from ¥15,999 (up to ¥26,499), shipping Oct 23. Highlights per Zhidongxi's report:
- iPhone Duo: 7.6-inch inner display with a nearly invisible crease (25 layers of 3D-printed photopolymer), first under-display camera, first IP68-rated wide-fold, 100-part teardrop-style hinge, 5.2mm unfolded thickness, A20 Pro plus in-house C2 modem, 31h video playback.
- A20 Pro: 2nm, 6-core CPU (+20% fastest cores), 7-core GPU (+40%), 32-core Neural Engine doubling AI compute, 2x 8-bit FP throughput, +50% memory bandwidth, M-series-inspired packaging with a 3x-larger vapor chamber.
- iPhone 18 Pro: from ¥9,999, variable-aperture main camera, new Siri that works across 300k apps — but Apple Intelligence remains unavailable in mainland China.
- Apple Watch Series 12 (¥2,999 up): heart-rate readings 60x more frequent; AirPods 5 adds ANC.
Verdict: extreme hardware polish, but the foldable use cases largely follow Android's playbook.
