Caleb Lareau's team shared key data from their AI-engineered CAR research: after a round of helpful peer review, they tested their CARs in a challenging in vivo tumor model. While the binders used on FDA-approved CARs failed to control the tumor, their AI-designed binders completely cleared it.
A rare positive in vivo validation for AI protein design in cancer therapy—outperforming clinically approved molecules under a tougher model introduced during review.
