Tesla shows Cybercab's Unboxed process: half the line, over 5x faster manufacturing
XFreeze · x · 2026-09-10
Tesla demonstrated how Cybercab's new Unboxed manufacturing process works: instead of building the entire car sequentially down one long line, major sections are assembled in parallel and joined in a single final step.
This halves the production line footprint and unlocks far greater capacity. Elon Musk says the redesigned Cybercab production is over 5x faster than conventional automotive manufacturing — a ground-up rethinking of how cars get built.
