ACL reviewer says 3 of 4 papers she reviewed were obvious AI slop, none called out

Linguistics researcher Najoung Kim reports that 3 of the 4 ACL submissions she reviewed were obvious AI slop with zero value. Other reviewers didn't flag them — some even recommended acceptance. "I don't know if AI is killing academia, or academia is committing suicide," she writes, contrasting AI's millennium-problem breakthroughs with its flood of junk papers.
