Deft Robotics' wheeled Simba at $34,900 turns remote interventions into training data
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-09-09
Deft Robotics builds wheeled robots for manufacturing — line feeding, kitting, material handling, loading/unloading. Its Simba platform pairs two 6-DoF arms with a wheeled base, priced at $34,900 with a 2-week lead time. The more interesting part is the surrounding software stack (Tether, Eigen, Physical Intelligence × Deft, Canary, Colloid) covering policy deployment, testing, intervention and fleet monitoring: when the robot gets stuck, a human takes over remotely, and those interventions become training data, closing the deployment→intervention→data→training loop.
