Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports Apple is building Recaps, a privacy-first AI feature for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4:
- Lives in the Siri app, runs all day, on demand or triggered by location
- Analyzes your day — including conversations — and provides a summary
- No transcript, no audio recording or storage; requires new hardware with an updated chip to secure audio processing
- Ultra 4 also gets better battery life
The feature resembles Amazon's Bee and marks another step in Apple's on-device, privacy-centric wearables strategy.
