Researcher quits DeepMind after 7 years over AI labs' power concentration

A researcher who spent 7 years at Google DeepMind announced his departure, adding that he has since turned down offers from the other two frontier labs. His reason: deep concern about the concentration of power these labs represent. "What is currently happening in this field is deeply unhealthy for society," he wrote.
