DeepMind Veteran Thore Graepel Departs to Tackle AI Reasoning

Thore Graepel, a veteran DeepMind researcher who worked on AlphaGo, is leaving to build AI systems from scratch. He told the Financial Times that current LLMs cannot truly reason, calling reasoning one of AI's biggest unsolved problems.
