Frigade launches Assist API to turn your existing agent into an in-product expert
ycombinator · x · 2026-09-09
Frigade (YC) launched the Assist API, which plugs an existing AI agent into live product-guidance capabilities. After registering a single frigadeguide tool, the agent can plan and drive onboarding walkthroughs based on the user's current in-app screen instead of stale docs.
Key points:
- One tool-call integration, framework-agnostic (Vercel AI SDK or any agent);
- Core pitch: your agent has read your docs but never used your product — Frigade gives it the same product view your user sees;
- SOC 2 Type II, GDPR compliant, self-hostable.
