DeepSeek opens ~150 senior engineer roles, drops ACM questions for system design

teortaxesTex · x · 2026-09-09

DeepSeek is opening roughly 150 senior backend/server engineer positions and has redesigned its hiring process for experienced engineers.

Written tests dropped all ACM-style coding questions in favor of system design problems that reward real engineering experience; algorithm questions only require approach or pseudocode; multiple-choice questions were likewise retuned. The interview pipeline was streamlined to shorten the overall timeline. Campus recruiting keeps its existing format.
