DeepMind's AlphaGenome Atlas charts effects of all 9 billion human gene mutations
MarioKrenn6240 · x · 2026-09-09
Google DeepMind unveiled the AlphaGenome Atlas, built on its AlphaGenome model released last year. The atlas predicts the effects of all 9 billion possible single-letter mutations in the human genome. Since only 2% of the genome's 3 billion bases encode proteins, the resource aims to help diagnose rare unexplained diseases and uncover hidden disease-causing variants. It is freely available for non-commercial use, as reported by Nature.
