Opendoor founder Eric Wu's NavigateAI builds hands-free AI copilots for construction workers

Eric Wu, who built and ran Opendoor for eight years before stepping away in 2022, is back with NavigateAI, out of stealth since May 2026 and targeting construction's labor crunch.
The startup builds AI copilots for construction workers and field laborers: real-time, hands-free expert guidance delivered through smartphones and Meta's AI glasses — what Wu calls a hands-free coach for the people physically building things.
Wu says he's convinced AI is the defining tech platform of his lifetime and didn't want to look back in a decade with regret.
