Google Launches AlphaGenome Atlas: Zero-Code Platform Covering 9 Billion DNA Variants

GoogleAI · x · 2026-09-08

Google AI introduced AlphaGenome Atlas, an interactive platform for genomics discovery. It massively scales up AlphaGenome's predictions into a catalogue of how each of the roughly 9 billion single-letter DNA changes in the human genome affects biology.

The platform is accessible "zero-code": scientists need no programming skills — they can point, click, and search the world's most comprehensive database of genetic variation predictions directly in a web browser. Google frames this as the step beyond model-building toward accelerating biological discovery.
