A developer built AstraBlender, a free service where Blender runs on an OCI cloud machine streamed as a browser desktop via selkies, so you can simply prompt ChatGPT (or any agent with a cloud browser, like Grok Bot) from your phone to open the site and use Blender — no local install, no terminal, no WebGPU needed.
- This sidesteps existing options: web Blender requires WebGPU (absent on agent cloud computers) and Blender MCP requires a local setup
- Free but author-funded compute: one user at a time, first come first serve; optional tips accepted
- Fully open source: replicate with an OCI free-tier VM, have your agent install Blender + astrablender, and optionally set up a render frontend
