ThoughtSpot launches SpotterCode, a hosted MCP server letting Claude Code query live instances
thoughtspotdev · reddit · 2026-10-26
ThoughtSpot's dev team released SpotterCode, a hosted (non-open-source) MCP server that lets Claude Code look up docs and act on a live ThoughtSpot instance. It exposes docs/REST API reference tools—so agents write against the current Visual Embed SDK instead of stale training data—plus an execute tool that runs against your instance after OAuth sign-in. Three endpoints: /mcp (full tool set, sign-in), /mcp/docs (docs only, no sign-in), /bearer/mcp (token auth for CI). Add it via claude mcp add --transport http SpotterCode https://spottercode.thoughtspot.app/mcp. The team also asks how people scope agent permissions on servers that can write to live systems, and will stream a live build Thu Oct 29, 8am PT.
