Grok Build launches Workflows: fan tasks out across up to 1,024 parallel agents

Elon Musk retweeted x.ai's official announcement of Workflows in Grok Build: describe a large task in plain language and Grok plans it as a script, fans it out to hundreds of parallel agents in the background, verifies results, and reports back.
- Budget of 128 agents per run, up to 1,024 for big jobs; each agent starts with a clean, focused context, and plans can embed adversarial verification by independent skeptic agents
- Progress is saved incrementally — pausing and resuming never redoes finished work; /workflows shows live per-phase progress with per-agent token counts
- Demo use case: reviewing a large GitHub PR — fetch context, fan out specialist reviewers, adversarially verify findings, synthesize a ranked report
- Best for tasks that split into many independent pieces and end in one clear report: PR reviews, triaging 100 issues, auditing a codebase for one class of bug
