ZODIAC Uses Zero-Shot Diffusion Priors to Fill Bone Shadows in Spinal Ultrasound
maier_ak · x · 2026-09-08
In spinal procedures, bone blocks ultrasound and casts a dark shadow behind each vertebra, leaving surgeons with fragmented 2-D slices. ZODIAC discards paired "broken-scan" training entirely and instead learns a zero-shot diffusion prior of healthy lumbar spines to hallucinate the occluded anatomy.
