Hajimete3D ships image-to-3D MCP workflow where agents approve a quote before paying for generation
Shoddy-Technology950 · reddit · 2026-09-08
The developers behind Hajimete3D, an image-to-3D tool built with Astra, released a REST API and local MCP connector and are seeking feedback on the workflow.
Workflow
- An agent uploads an image, requests a quote, generates a textured 3D model after cost approval, checks status, and downloads the GLB; text-to-image generation is also supported first.
- The MCP connector runs locally over stdio (Node.js 22+) rather than a hosted URL.
Paid-generation mechanics (feedback focus)
- A quote → approve → create split: API keys have spending caps, and retries reuse the same request ID to avoid double charges.
- Pricing: 12 credits per 3D conversion (+1 for a standard image first); $4.99 for 25 credits, $9.99/month for 60.
- Models may need cleanup and aren't guaranteed rigged.
