Resy co-founder Ben Leventhal says 10,000 vibe coders have written sniper bots for Resy, and competitor Instinct has shipped its own version. None are clever or proprietary: they all hammer Resy's services looking for time-based reservation drops and availability churn from cancellations. He unpacks the phenomenon in a thread; dens (Jeff Weinstein) amplified it, praising the founder for still defending his product years after exit.
