Decade-long cloud architect: enterprise AI architecture is far more than bolting on an LLM
kashifmanzoor · x · 2026-10-27
A cloud architect with a decade of experience argues enterprise AI architecture can't just be an LLM added to cloud architecture — you must track where model information comes from and whether it's trustworthy.
For a production "enterprise AI assistant" you need: IAM, data sources, retrieval, model selection, prompts/context, guardrails, observability, evaluation, human review, tool permissions, audit logs, cost controls, and failure handling. Enterprise architecture now interprets information and takes actions, not just processes data.
