A UX/product designer pushes back on the anti-AI camp's relentless negativity, arguing that wallowing in existential dread is no way to live.

He says he was far more pessimistic about humanity's future before AI arrived, and now believes AI might actually help fix some of the mess. He concedes AI isn't perfect and greed predates it, admits he — a self-described mediocre middle-aged designer — faces the same job risks as everyone else, and lands on carpe diem: the future was never guaranteed.
