Debugging lidar-stereo data loss: IP fragment reassembly failures fixed via Cyclone DDS config
this_is_surabhi · x · 2026-09-07
The author shares a robotics sensor debugging story: lidar plus stereo camera data kept failing to cross between two machines, root-caused to severe IP fragment reassembly failures.
The fix was modifying the Eclipse Cyclone DDS configuration. A useful reference for anyone running high-bandwidth sensors over DDS between machines, where large fragmented payloads can silently drop.
