Researcher calls undisclosed AI safety incident 'very bad,' disclosure excuse absurd

Hugging Face researcher Elie Bakouch walked back his earlier prediction about an (apparently safety-related) incident, admitting he has "no idea." In the quoted tweet he strongly criticized the delayed/absent disclosure as "very bad," hoped for a better explanation of why it wasn't disclosed, called blaming "the lack of a framework" absurd, while still crediting the lab for working on the issue.
