A rider shares the experience of taking Tesla's Cybercab robotaxi: the vehicle lights up green to signal pickup, the trunk opens for luggage, and there's no steering wheel or pedals — passengers can watch shows or play games en route.
Pricing: Cybercab currently costs about half of Uber/Lyft. Musk says operating cost at scale should be around 20 cents per mile, with rider pricing of 30-40 cents per mile including taxes — versus roughly $1.70 per mile on Uber/Lyft plus base fare, booking fees and surge pricing.
