Cartwheel MCP gives AI agent Astra the power to animate Blender scenes
reach_vb · x · 2026-09-07
Andrew Carr's team showed that Astra, an AI agent that is already good at building static scenes in Blender, can now animate objects after being connected to the Cartwheel MCP.
The demo highlights MCP as a plug-in capability layer: instead of changing the underlying model, bolting on a specialized animation tool extends what the agent can do, moving from static modeling to full motion. Commenters are already asking for a tutorial, with the author hinting one may follow.
