AI models model an Audi Quattro in Blender: GPT-6 Astra delivers full car in 75 minutes
kevinkern · x · 2026-09-05
Developer kevinkern ran several AI models through Blender to build the same Audi Quattro from a reference image, comparing workflows with and without skills and review steps. In the standout run, GPT-6 Astra High via Codex CLI + Blender MCP, given 90 minutes and no modeling feedback, finished in 75 minutes: a full car with UV mapping, locally generated textures, LODs, collision shapes and 14 renders — though some surfaces and hidden details remain rough. The author notes setups differed, so it's not a controlled ranking, and no output is guaranteed game-ready.
