Dev builds a VST synth with Codex and MCP, lets the AI jam in his studio
Yamapama · x · 2026-10-23
Yamapama used Codex to build a VST softsynth plugin that runs in Ableton, Fruity Loops, Reason and other DAWs, then added MCP support to the plugin. By giving Codex computer use plus MCP access to Reason and the synth, the model now jams and makes music in real time on its own in his studio — a neat demo of extending coding agents into live control of professional audio software via MCP.
