In a Nikhil Kamath interview, Elon Musk called AI and robotics "a supersonic tsunami — the most radical change we've ever seen," and revealed his sons agree AI may make their skills unnecessary yet still want to attend college. The author builds an essay on that: for most of history, no one chose school — need chose for them. The AI wave removes need for the first time, handing the privilege of learning for its own sake to everyone. Skill was only the price of admission; the wave takes what we do for money and leaves what we do for each other.
