tldraw flash launches next week: canvas changes are tracked as record diffs, the system agents keep tripping over
max__drake · x · 2026-09-05
The tldraw team teases that tldraw flash, its animation product, ships next week. @maxdrake recalls their earlier point: agents putting isRecord everywhere is actually tldraw's fault—the system operates on records and diffs of those records, tracking and applying every canvas change to the document store (remote collaborators' changes too), and it's what tldraw is built on.
Since dragging animations is imprecise, being able to fine-tune by moving shapes after animating them was a must for flash.
