Seema Amble's article 'The Incumbents Are Coming' argues AI makes systems of record more important, as customers pipe data into Claude. Resharing it, srikrishnang notes 'the job is bigger than the record': software agents now act on top of adjacent systems, so Notion, Glean, Dust and Claude compete for the same jobs, as do Outreach, Relevance and Hubspot.
