TACL to desk-reject papers: readable figures required, appendices capped at 5 pages
EhudReiter · x · 2026-09-04
TACL editor Ehud Reiter announced he will desk-reject submissions over formatting: figures must be readable, appendices are limited to 5 pages for reproducibility material, and 3 pages for extra figures/tables — no free text allowed. "Good scientific writing is concise," he writes, signaling an end to shrunken figures and bloated appendices at one of NLP's top venues.
