Hermes Tailscale plugin puts your Tailscale mesh inside Hermes Desktop's sidebar
NousResearch · x · 2026-09-04
A community developer released Hermes Tailscale, a native plugin that surfaces your Tailscale network inside Nous Research's Hermes Desktop.
- Shows every machine on your tailnet (name, OS, IPv4, status) in the sidebar; lets you SSH in, send files, or publish your Hermes instance onto the mesh
- Works by invoking the locally installed Tailscale CLI via the Hermes plugin SDK, shell.exec, and the in-app PTY — no admin API token, no cloud round trip
- With a remote hermes serve, it shows that machine's tailnet instead
Open source on GitHub (v0.0.2), small enough to double as a reference for writing Hermes plugins.
