David Baker's Team Publishes on Accelerating AI Protein Design Validation Loop

David Baker's team published a paper in Nature Communications presenting a scalable experimental characterization platform to address the bottleneck from creation to validation in AI protein design. The platform rapidly tests AI-designed proteins, closing the loop between Design → Build → Test → Learn. The research suggests that future progress in protein engineering may rely less on larger models and more on faster feedback loops between AI and the wet lab.
