A beginner shares a hybrid hand-drawing + Stable Diffusion workflow for webtoon-style illustration:
- Lineart: traditional pencil sketch first, then Gemini extracts the lineart and fixes hand anatomy;
- Color blocking: manual digital coloring in Krita, layer by layer, to lock lighting and proportions;
- Low-strength generation: img2img via the Krita AI Diffusion plugin, checkpoint Counterfeit v30 (SD 1.5), ControlNet Lineart strength 0.7 / range 0.3, Refine strength 35%; prompt asks for detailed webtoon illustration, clean lineart, soft cinematic lighting; negatives exclude photorealistic, blurry, bad anatomy.
The idea: AI only does low-strength polish while the artist keeps control of structure and overall composition.
