MiniMax launches Design: an AI agent client for full-pipeline video creation

MiniMax has launched MiniMax Design, an AI agent client for commercial video and content creators. Paired with its H3 video model, the agent chains together planning, storyboarding, generation, editing, and delivery.
Key features:
- Intent understanding: give one prompt (e.g. ads for 5 different robot-vacuum pain points) and the agent breaks down shots, batch-generates dozens of style-consistent product/scene images, and cross-renders them into finished clips
- 3D director stage: generate rotatable, zoomable 3D scenes with promptable props and fight choreography; scan a QR code to turn your phone into a virtual camera with live camera-path recording
- Timeline & keyframe control: draw paths manually, control speed ramps, and export camera trajectories as motion references for video generation
- Infinite canvas (node-graph collaboration), skills & plugin ecosystem, ready-made templates for brand promos, animation shorts, and music videos
- Directly imports/exports existing ComfyUI workflows
The H3 model is open source with cheap APIs: ¥0.5/s for 768P, ¥0.8/s for 2K, as low as ¥0.4/s on annual plans.
