Run MiniMax H3 locally on 12GB GPUs: 15-second multi-shot ComfyUI template
vortis23 · reddit · 2026-08-21
MiniMax H3 is extremely heavy and struggles on lower-end machines. Using optimization techniques from the TheAIsearch YouTube channel (1 minute of processing per second of output) and after testing many models and packages, the author built a ComfyUI template that lets modest rigs generate up to 15 seconds of multi-shot video in a single generative pass, beyond the model's 6-second hard cap.
- The base template is text-to-video: enter prompts for three shots/scenes and hit run; an image node can be plugged into the H3 Multishot Sampler for image-to-video.
- Requirements: at least a 12GB GPU and 64GB DDR5 RAM; a 15-second 720p video takes 30-33 minutes.
- Settings can be tuned to cut generation time; the JSON template is on CivitAI (models/2876760).
Aimed at long-form creators tired of the constant stitch-and-go workflow local MiniMax H3 currently forces.
