Miles v0.1 has been released with Mooncake integrated as a new rollout data-transfer backend, optimizing data movement between rollout and training in large-scale RL.
Performance Gains:
- 10–14x faster remote GET
- 1.2–1.6x faster PUT
Technical Details:
- Optimizes serialization and bulk RDMA transfer via structured-object transfer and structure-aware PUT/GET.
- Supports zero-copy reconstruction from registered buffers.
- No changes required to the RL programming model.
