Building 3D Action Games with Claude: 'Dark Souls' in 7 Hours
vrdrift · reddit · 2026-08-14
A developer shared results from their agentic game creation system, using 'Time to Dark Souls' as a benchmark. They found Claude Fable and Opus 5 to be the best agents for 3D spatial reasoning.
The entire game—including code, art, animation, and SFX—was written by two agents in about 7 hours (Fable for 4h, Opus 5 for 3h). It runs as a native C++ app built on a base layer of SDL3/Box3D, completely bypassing heavy engines like Unity or Unreal.
