ProtonGraph: Open-Source Node-Based Tool for Procedural 3D Content Generation

tom_doerr · x · 2026-08-14

ProtonGraph is an experimental, node-based software designed for procedural 3D content creation. By chaining simple nodes together, users can generate complex 3D models through a visual scripting interface.

Aimed at game development and released under the MIT license, its long-term goal is to allow developers to either pre-generate content or embed ProtonGraph directly into games for on-the-fly content generation. Currently positioned as a Godot engine extension, it is not intended to replace industry heavyweights like Houdini or Blender's Geometry Nodes.
