Mathematicians Enter "Oh Shit" Phase: Rushing to Claim Credit and Monopolize AI Verification

Following up on the previous discussion about the mathematical capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs), the author notes that the mathematics community is now entering an "oh shit" phase.
Pivoting in response to the AI shock, mathematicians are starting to claim they always knew this was possible. They argue that they are, in fact, the only ones who can truly understand AI outputs and should be hired immediately to verify it all at scale. The author cynically concludes: same old story.
