Ex-Boston Dynamics Founders Build Robots That Learn On the Job
ycombinator · x · 2026-08-13
To bring about the 'ChatGPT moment' for robotics, former executives from Boston Dynamics and Amazon Robotics have founded ShirazAI.
They argue that just as GPT-3 adapted on the spot from a few examples in a prompt, robots need the same capability. Their goal is to build robots that 'learn on the job': show the robot a task once, and it adapts immediately. This flexibility is crucial for manufacturing customers whose production lines change weekly, and they are already deploying with their first clients.
