Maharashtra Government Deploys Sarvam AI's Indus for 2,500 Officials

Indian AI startup Sarvam AI has partnered with the Government of Maharashtra to deploy Indus, its sovereign AI workspace, across state departments.
Around 2,500 government officials will use the tool for daily tasks such as policy research, drafting documents, translation, summarization, data analysis, and processing scanned records in 22 languages, including Marathi. The system will run entirely on secure, audited infrastructure located within India to ensure data sovereignty.
