Developers have found that swapping the default VAE with the convolution version (ltx-2.5-video-vae-conv-bf16.safetensors) drastically reduces generation times for the LTX 2.5 model.
Benchmark data shows significant speedups across various resolutions and durations. For instance, generating a 1.0MP @ 5s video dropped from 376s to 53s, and a 0.3MP @ 13s video went from 437s to 45s, representing a 5x-8x overall performance improvement.
