Six Major AI Giants Sign EU AI Transparency Code, Open-Source Models to Add Watermarks

Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Mistral have officially signed the EU Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content.
Under the new legal requirements, even open-source local models from these providers will be required to implement watermarking for generated code and text.
