intellectronica argues that while OpenRouter is a great API, the lesson from Claude Code/Cowork and Codex/ChatGPT is that there's a huge audience for an app that 'just works' with a combo of surface, harness, and models. OpenCode is undoubtedly the closest to delivering that for the world of multi-choice, open (and closed) AI.
