Vercel Brings Full Sandbox Egress Firewall to Free Tier for Secure AI Agents
cramforce · x · 2026-08-11
Vercel has announced that its full Sandbox egress firewall is now available on the free Hobby plan. This feature allows developers to set network isolation policies, preventing credential leaks.
For AI agent development, developers can define custom network rules where the firewall attaches authentication tokens (e.g., for Vercel AI Gateway) to outbound requests. This enables sandboxed code to securely call authenticated APIs without ever exposing the underlying secrets.
