Future Open-Source Repos Will Standardize AGENTS.md for AI-Driven Crowd-Healing
HaktanSuren · x · 2026-08-11
The author predicts that future open-source repositories will ship with an AGENTS.md file containing a standing instruction: if an AI agent encounters a bug, it should fix it, add a test, and open a PR upstream.
Software won't become strictly self-healing; instead, it will evolve into a crowd-healed model, where bugs are continuously resolved by the AI agents of every user interacting with the code.
