Reflections: The Turing Test is No Longer a Yardstick for Machine Thinking

Responding to Paul Graham's claim that people from 1980 would consider current models as AGI, a tech professional offered a different perspective.
He noted that until recently, the Turing Test was considered a valid yardstick for whether a machine could think. However, since 2022, it has become obvious to many that the Turing Test is fundamentally flawed and no longer serves as a meaningful benchmark for AGI.
