Unreleased Claude Model Tackles Riemann Hypothesis, Improves Decades-Old Math Bound

Anthropic tasked an unreleased research version of Claude with the famous Riemann hypothesis. While the model failed to solve the problem, it unexpectedly made a significant breakthrough during the process: it discovered a new proof that improved the lower bound for the fraction of zeros of the Riemann zeta function satisfying the hypothesis from a decades-old 41.6% to 67.2%.
